You’ve likely heard the claim that we tend to use only a fraction of our brains. This hints at a huge amount of untapped power. And If you’re stuck in a low level of consciousness, you’re probably struggling to manifest the things you want in life.
But is it really possible to reach a higher level of consciousness? And if it is, what do you need to do in order to get there and manifest your dreams?
We’ll begin by offering an introduction to the Law of Attraction’s relationship with consciousness.
Next, we’ll help you understand what reaching your highest consciousness actually involves, and show you how to move away from low consciousness.
As you’ll see, you can use this heightened level of consciousness to truly master the Law of Attraction. We’ll guide you through what you need to know to enhance your manifestation power, deepening your understanding of your surroundings and yourself.
How Is Consciousness And The Law Of Attraction Related?
We’ll start by looking at the key connection between consciousness and the Law of Attraction.
Essentially, the more you open your mind and expand your awareness, the better you are at manifesting the things you want. There are a few distinct reasons for this.
Firstly, good manifestation work requires a certain humbleness – knowing what you don’t know. Those who are close-minded struggle to accept that the Law of Attraction could work, while those with more openness trust their intuition and are cognizant of the limits of everyday perception.
Secondly, the higher your conscious state, the better you know yourself and the more capable of growth you become.
Barriers to manifestation often include low self-esteem, limiting beliefs, and old difficulties that haven’t been acknowledged or processed.
By working to expand your consciousness, you also improve your self-reflective capacities and the power you have over your own thoughts. In other words, you’re better at exerting control over your vibrational frequency.
What Are The States Of Consciousness?
Now that you have an idea of why consciousness matters for effective Law of Attraction work, we can refine our understanding of consciousness.
So that the idea of heightened consciousness makes sense, we’ll talk about the three main states of consciousness – conscious, preconscious, and unconscious.
These terms originate in the psychoanalytic work of Freud, but they’re also helpful terms when exploring modern thinking about psychology.
Picture an iceberg – the part that sits above the water’s surface is your conscious awareness.
Just below the surface, you can find the preconscious mind.
Then, deeper still, you encounter the unconscious mind. All of these parts of you have important roles to play, and all of them influence your ability to manifest abundance.
The first state of consciousness is the purely conscious level – the bit of the iceberg that sits above the sea.
This part of the mind is what you’re used to interacting with as you go about your day.
It contains all the information you acquire about yourself, people around you, and your environment.
This part of your mind uses reason to delicate between different options, sorts through sensory input, and is constantly accessible.
The preconscious mind, recall, is the part just below the surface of the sea.
In order words, just below the level of your awareness.
What sits in this part of your consciousness are the things that you could attend to if you wanted.
This is where memories lie, as well as data that your mind decides is extraneous.
For example, right now, what is in your peripheral vision is in your preconscious mind. You can access it now you’ve been prompted.
Finally, the unconscious part of your mind contains things that are much further below everyday awareness.
For example, your unconscious host’s old memories that may have been repressed or simply discarded, as well as needs and desires that you don’t consciously reflect on.
Some of these things may be uncomfortable, conflicting, or otherwise challenging.
However, what’s in your unconscious mind still influences your behavior and your feelings.
So, exercises that help us access the unconscious can be extremely illuminating.
What Is Higher Consciousness?
Higher consciousness is something that stands apart from the conscious, preconscious, and unconscious aspects of your mind. This type of consciousness goes beyond our ordinary thinking.
You can think of it as a kind of “ultimate consciousness”. The sort of heightened consciousness our higher self would have.
When you develop this kind of consciousness, your knowledge of yourself and the universe makes you a master manifestor, capable of drawing everything you want towards you.
This deepest and most profound form of awareness is achievable for all of us, but it requires us to deliberately and work on shifting our consciousness over time.
Unfortunately, for most of us, the default is a lower form of consciousness that keeps us stuck and stops us from flourishing into our fully evolved selves.
With this in mind, let’s move on to look at what keeps us in low consciousness and how we can overcome these common barriers. Through this lens, we can then explore how to actively attain and maintain higher awareness.
How Do We Become Stuck In Low Consciousnesses?
Modern society promotes a very individualistic way of thinking. In other words, we’re printed to think of ourselves as entirely separate from everyone else and everything else.
We think we are alone, unconnected from what is around.
This keeps us trapped in low consciousness because higher consciousness first requires an acknowledgment of our interconnectedness.
Setting unhelpful boundaries and imposing limitations are two of the most destructive habits we have, trapping us in low consciousness as long as we keep up those habits.
Let’s look at both, and at how to start thinking differently.
